If you’re looking for help with an issue, first check to make sure you have the latest version of Worldographer–sometimes an update fixes the issue. You’ll see “Update Available” in Worldographer’s menu bar if you are connected to the internet and not on the latest version. You can also see our Change Log for the latest version number and list of changes–but it isn’t complete.
When reporting an issue, please include
- The Worldographer version number from the title bar (like ‘Worldographer 2025 v2.xx platform xx.x.x’).
- Which build/os you’re running (the Windows installer version or the Java jar version for example).
- If possible add a screenshot and the .wxx file. The last is especially important if you’re having trouble loading a file.
Here are the ways to get support:
- Email support at inkwellideas dot com. If you don’t hear back within 24 hours, try again or ping us via our Discord. (See below–but that is often even faster than email.) We try to respond within 24 hours, but if traveling it may take longer or a second message. Of course we’d like you to check the other methods below first–but it sucks that companies don’t make it easy to reach a person!
- Check the online manual and the advanced instructions for some specific issues. Note that currently much of the info applies to the pre-2025 version, but 2025 is similar in many ways. Also the FAQ has some useful answers.
- Look at our videos. Some are overviews and some go over specific features in some depth.
- Join our discord and ask there.
